Q: Is Lake Bernard a clean & safe lake?

A: Yes! The swimming is excellent and there are no rocks at the cottage; just a nice hard sand bottom.

​Q: Are the amenities shared?

​A: No. We are not a resort, or a string of Cottages side-by-side. We just own two separate properties on the same lake. Each* cottage has 2 kayaks, 1 canoe, and 1 paddle boat. Please see the individual cottages for additional amenities that are included at each property.

Q: Do I pay extra for the Kayaks, Canoe and Paddle boat?

A: No, you do not pay extra for these boats, they are all included for your entire stay.

Q: Is there WiFi at the cottages?
A: No, you're at the beach, it's time to disconnect! ;) However, if you need it, there is free wifi at the local coffee shop located in town (about 1 mile from the cottages).

Q: Is there indoor plumbing at the cottages?
A: Yes!

Q: Can friends, family, or grandparents visit us at the cottage?

A. Unfortunately no. The rental is only valid for the names on the contract you confirm with us at check-in.
*Due to new covid restrictions, no one else is permitted inside the cottage, on the cottage property, or to use the cottage amenities.
*If you bring additional people on the property, who you did not book for, it will result in an end to your booking with us, immediate removal from the property, without refund, and forfeit of deposit.
Q: Are linens provided?

A: With the new COVID restrictions, please bring your linens and pillows, as well as your sleeping bags.

​Q: Do you have a fishing boat?
​A: Yes! We having a fishing boat and motor for rent, $95/day or $295/week. One tank of gas is included to get you going!



Q: Can I bring my own boat?​

A: Yes. There is a boat launch in town.

Q: Do you supply life jackets?

A: Yes, but if you have an infant/small child we recommend you bring their own to ensure it's proper fit. Medium sized and adult sized life jackets are at the cottage.

Q: Are you pet-friendly?​

A: No, sorry no pets allowed due to allergies in our family.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Minimum 30 day notice required to receive a full refund once the cottage re-books, minus a $100 administrative/booking fee.
*Keep in mind, if you cancel after April 1st it is significantly harder for us to re-book because most families have already secured their vacations by this time. If the cottage doesn't re-book then there is no refund.

Q: Do I get a refund if Sundridge is in 'lock down' and you are not permitted to rent your cottage?
A: If Sundridge is in a lock down and we are not allowed to rent our cottage, then you will get a refund. This only applies to Sundridge being locked down. If Sundridge is not in lock down and we are permitted to rent our cottage, then the regular cancellation policy applies, see above.
Q: Are your cottages smoke-free?

A: Smoking is not permitted at either of the Cottages.

​Q: How do I secure the rental?

​A: $900 is due at booking. The remaining balance is due one month before your check-in date.
ie, if your check-in date is July 17th, the remaining balance is due on or before June 17th.
Q: Are there any other fees in addition to the rental fee?

A: No, there are no other fees and no taxes.
We do collect a refundable $300 Security Deposit when you check-in, but this is only a deposit.
*It is fully refundable back to you (in cash) at check-out when the keys are returned and there are no damages. We just ask that you leave the cottage in the same condition you found it; clean (dishes washed & put away, carpets vacuumed, fridge emptied and wiped out, garbage cans emptied, etc.) and please do not move any of the furniture.

*Please do not move the indoor furniture outside. Also, no furniture, at all, should not be put in the lake for any reason.
*If there are any damages, it will come from the deposit. If damages exceed $300, you will be responsible for paying it in full prior to check-out.

Q: My party is all adults, can your cottages accommodate us?

A: Unfortunately no. These are single family cottages.
